Wedding Ceremony: Somto

Somto Ekedum

OK, I just decided to go on Facebook (something I hardly do now) last night and stumbled upon a post by Somto that read "cheers to my future of love & a blissful life..." along with the two pictures below…

I was very surprised and excited at the same time. Surprised because I had no idea she was about to get married, I didn't hear about it at all. And excited cos,… well, it's Somto's wedding. lol

I do not know exactly what was the date of the wedding, but I believe it was last weekend (i.e. weekend beginning Friday 27th June).

More pictures, below...

The beautiful couple...

Huge congratulation to Somto and her hubby. May you remain happy.

Passing of a great teacher

Wednesday, 10 July 2013
Hi guys,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the death of our teacher; Mr Fus.

I remember in May my brother told me about Mr Fus suffering from 'typhoid'. He said Mr Fus hadn't been in school since before April 18th due to the illness.

I heard he recently attended the Class of 2013 Graduation ceremony, held on Saturday 22nd June, where he was presented with an honorary award for his services to the school. It was said he looked very thin and could hardly walk. The photograph [right] was taken on the same day.

He was among my group of favorite teachers. Y'all can remember he always had a smile on his face in his Chemistry class, he always had jokes to tell. He was an amazing teacher. And surely, he will be missed.

Below are what some of the students had to say about the beloved teacher via Twitter...
